We are embarking on a new journey, translating some of our favorite posts using BrailleBlaster™ software as a special service to those with a disability of sight or sight impairment. The files with extension .BBZ and .BRF can be downloaded on this page. To read the file, you will need to install the latest BrailleBlaster™ software on your laptop or desktop. This is a new service we are offering, and we hope you will bear with us and our shortcomings.
BrailleBlaster™ is a braille transcription program developed by the American Printing House for the Blind to help transcribers provide blind students with braille textbooks on the first day of class. Anyone can use it, from NLS-certified transcribers to more casual users. The software is free to download and use! As a service to the field of blindness, APH is offering this powerful yet easy-to-use software free of charge. Download the same at brailleblaster.org.
BrailleBlaster™ is accessible to users who are blind or visually impaired. It works with screen readers like JAWS and NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on Mac OS. It also works well with screen magnification software. Before downloading our posts, please first download the relevant software from the brailleblaster.org website and install it on your machine.
Students are welcome to leave a comment if there is a specific book analysis from the published material available on insaneowl.com that they would like us to translate into braille format. Your feedback will help us serve you better.
