Tell me all about him one more time,
I don’t mind the pain it causes to my wounded spirit;
I can hold the rivers from my eyes in check with the dams of fortitude,
So go on and sing out his name once more for me.
Tell me all about him one more time,
His tender touch still caresses my being even though I’m no more;
I died the day he said he wouldn’t return,
The sting of the empty silence still lingers where once he used to be.
Tell me all about him one more time,
About the smile he kissed on my eyes much before my sad yesterday;
The warmth of his hand still radiates a sun beam into my cold world,
Just go on and slay my chest with his dear memory.
Tell me all about him one more time,
Don’t stop till you see my heart bleeding to the sound of your voice;
Go on dear without hesitation and fish out my feelings for him again,
Just take my soul into the abyss of broken promises still waiting.
Tell me all about him one more time,
Ever since he went away I have been burdened by a dull pain;
Nothing seems so beautiful other than the hue of his rugged skin,
Let me feel it all once more for the good times.
Tell me all about him one more time,
Wait a while near this pool of contemplation tonight;
Please don’t leave me without tearing me apart once again,
Spell out his loving words in a song into my ears for a while more.
Tell me all about him one more time,
You are my child by adoption and I am sure you know well sweet;
That your virgin mother has been mourning too long till it hurt to feel,
Embrace me again child, bringing fulfillment in obvious emptiness.
Tell me all about him one more time,
Your voice is innocent like a fawn reaching out to dry mother’s tears;
Don’t worry darling little one, mother is stronger than what it seems,
Cuddle close to me and I’ll spin a rhyme for you to sleep.
Tell me all about him one more time,
Well it is true baby boy you wouldn’t have been mine if he was there;
Happiness deserves you more as a blessing than any man grown,
I’ll always dry my drops for you but forgive me if sometimes I ask you of him.
